The Barnstable County Regional Emergency Planning Committee (BCREPC) is a coalition of law enforcement, fire service, health care, public health, public works, EMS, military, and numerous other affiliated agencies as outlined by the Massachusetts State Emergency Response Committee (SERC).  It represents the towns of Barnstable, Bourne, Brewster, Chatham, Dennis, Eastham, Falmouth, Harwich, Mashpee, Orleans, Provincetown, Sandwich, Truro, Wellfleet, and Yarmouth in Barnstable County, and the town of Nantucket in Nantucket County.

The BCREPC meets monthly to provide updates, presentations on current disaster management topics and to hold an open discussion on a variety of emergency pre-planning subjects relevant to Cape Cod and Nantucket.

Our purpose is to harness the power of planning, cooperation, and interoperability to assist Cape Cod communities to mitigate the threat from any hazard which may require the response of multiple jurisdictions.

Multi-Agency Coordination Center (MACC) Did you know that when an emergency or a natural disaster strikes, the BCREPC Multi-Agency Coordination Center (MACC) activates at its location at the Barnstable County Complex?  Its purpose is to provide emergency resources to towns if needed.  The MACC directs the opening of regional emergency shelters in the event of natural disasters that significantly impact our region.
