Good evening folks,
Posting an update to an original post from last week regarding extended services offered by our local food pantries and other organizations to assist those in need. Please bring a Federal ID if your situation is related to the shutdown. We will update as more info comes our way. Please share as more services are becoming available.

If you are in need of food and assistance because of furlough or other challenges there are multiple pantries and services in Barnstable County that are here to help.

On Wednesday, January 16, 2019, between the hours of 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm, federal workers are invited to the Paper Pantry and Takeaway Meal Program at Nelson Hall at St. David's Episcopal, So. Yarmouth, 205 Old Main Street, South Yarmouth MA to pick up a supply of paper and toiletry necessities, along with a prepared meal that is packaged to bring home to their families. All items will be provided free of charge.Federal workers please try to call the church office 508-394-4222or to send email to Office@stdavids4222.comcastbiz.net. Please tell the staff the number in your household, so that they can be better prepared to serve you. On Wednesday, please bring your federal employee identification card to verify your eligibility.

Sandwich Food Pantry has kitchen staples.

Falmouth Service Center is offering help through their pantry, financial assistance, and FRESH Markets in the schools and out at Joint Base Cape Cod.

The Family Pantry of Cape Cod in Harwich is also providing fresh products and the basics to help make ends meet.

Have SNAP? Farmers at this Saturday’s Indoor Orleans Farmers' Market at Nauset Middle School will be accepting benefits, and get $$ back on your card when you buy fresh produce from farmers accepting HIP (the awesome market staff can direct you to those vendors), so USE YOUR BENEFITS!

Food pantries can assist in many ways, whether or not your situation is due to the shutdown, so stop by to see how they can help you make ends meet!

Falmouth Service Center is offering help through their pantry, financial assistance, and FRESH Markets in the schools and out at Joint Base Cape Cod.

The Family Pantry of Cape Cod in Harwich is also providing fresh products and the basics to help make ends meet.
