Barnstable County Committees

All new and appointed committee members and alternates must swear or affirm an oath of office administered by the County Clerk before they take a seat or vote in a public meeting of the committee to which they have been appointed.

Committee members should also read the Barnstable County Committee Handbook and its Appendices, Home Rule Charter, State Ethics Conflict of Interest  Law Training and Summary, Open Meeting Law Guide, and the Massachusetts Guide for Members of Public Board and Committees.  All documents are accessible below.
