Survey seeks to measure a variety of economic, health and social factors shaping year-round residents on the Outer Cape

May 11, 2022 | (Barnstable, MA) – Every three years, the United States Department of Health and Human Services recommends that communities participate in a public health needs assessment to understand whether health needs are being met in the most optimal way. The survey is the second of a six-step process that evaluates residential services and programs to improve overall health and quality of life.

All residents in the towns of Provincetown, Truro, and Wellfleet are encouraged to participate in the survey. The survey is anonymous and has no identifying information, although participants may choose to identify themselves and be interviewed by public health staff.

Survey results will be compiled in a report and made available on the Provincetown, Truro, and Wellfleet health department websites. This evaluative process will help determine if the towns should create, redesign, or eliminate certain health and social programs. The survey closes June 11, 2022.

The survey can be accessed electronically at https://bit.ly/3yxU4X7. Provincetown, Truro, and Wellfleet residents can also access paper copies in each town’s public library.
