In the very first Bonfire podcast episode, Barnstable County’s  Chief Procurement Officer Jennifer Frates and President of Cape Cod Association of Public Procurement Officials (CCAPPO), discusses the benefits of transparency and cooperative purchasing.

Who is Bonfire?  Barnstable County is now working with BonFire.  BonFire is a platform that digitizies the procurement process. BonFire has worked with hundreds of state and local agencies across North America.

In public procurement, spending taxpayer money responsibly is incredibly important. Cooperative bids, or coops, are a great way to accomplish that. But how do you show the value of the procurement strategy you have in place? That’s where transparent reporting comes in.
