The Dredge Report | Week of January 17, 2021

Cod Fish II

Dredging continued on the Cod Fish II in Sesuit Harbor, Dennis. We are nearing completion of this project as the weather has been favorable and the dredging has been mostly uninterrupted. That said, the weekends wind did require us to move the dredge into the inner harbor and we ceased dredging over the weekend.

As we are making preparations to move our equipment from Little Bay, Bourne to Stage Harbor, Chatham for our next project, we are anticipating being down for another day or so and hope to be restarting dredging operations in Sesuit Harbor by mid-week.

Below are some photos showing various stages of the dredging operation in Sesuit Harbor.

Tide Gauge – A critical part of the project, needed to properly maintain the depth of the Cutter Head as it dredges during the tidal cycles.
At the discharge end…who says there is no such thing as a free lunch!
