Children’s Cove Urges Parents to ‘Have the Conversation’ about Body Safety

At a time our community is essentially shut down due to COVID-19, we are asked to consider the victims of abuse who are confined inside abusive households with limited ability to access help. Jacob Stapledon, Community Education and Outreach Coordinator for Children’s Cove urges Cape and Islands residents to “have the conversation” with their children, family members and friends about body safety, and prompts teachers, coaches and those doing livestreams consider talking to their audiences about body safety, and that children or teens who feel they are not safe at home take the step to ask for help.
