Deputy Director of Barnstable County Health & Environment Appointed to Serve on LRPHAC

Congratulations to Erika Woods, Senior Environmental Specialist and Deputy Director of the Barnstable County Department of Health and Environment. Erika was recently appointed to serve on the Massachusetts Local and Regional Public Health Advisory Committee for a 2-year term.

The Massachusetts Local and Regional Public Health Advisory Committee (LRPHAC) serves in an advisory capacity to inform and monitor progress on implementation of the recommendations of the Special Commission on Local and Regional Public HealthErika Woods Deputy Director of Health and Environment.

In August 2016, the Special Commission on Local and Regional Public Health was established by Chapter 3 of the Resolves of 2016 to “assess the effectiveness and efficiency of municipal and regional public health systems and to make recommendations regarding how to strengthen the delivery of public health services and preventive measures. Erika Woods is also Cape Cod Hoarding Task Force Chair, and Co-Chair of the Cape Cod Rabies Task Force.
