BARNSTABLE, MA – The Barnstable County Assembly of Delegates will hold a public hearing on Proposed Ordinance 19-02, Wednesday, April 17th at 4:15 PM, at the East Wing Conference Center of the Old Jail House, Barnstable County Complex, 3195 Main St. Barnstable, MA. 02630

Proposed Ordinance 19-02 will address amending the name, membership structure and general function of the existing Barnstable County Human Rights Commission, now anticipated to become the Barnstable County Human Rights Advisory Board (BCHRAB).

In 2018 a review of all Ordinances related to the Human Rights Commission was undertaken by the Board of Regional Commissioners, Human Rights Commission and other county staff resulting in the submission by the Regional Commissioners of Proposed Ordinance 19-02 to the Assembly of Delegates for consideration and adoption.
