WET Festival Success!
Published on: December 13, 2018
The Cape Cod Cooperative Extension and AmeriCorps Cape Cod hosted a water festival on Friday, November 30, 2018 at Bourne High School attended by Peebles and Bournedale Elementary Schools.
The festival, called WET Fest, taught 154 fourth grade students about protecting Cape Codâs source of drinking water. AmeriCorps Cape Cod members facilitated many hands-on activities including âEdible Aquiferâ in which students constructed edible groundwater models and âFlush the Kidsâ where students crawled through a large septic tank model. This was the second of approximately ten Wet Festivals that will be put on in schools throughout Cape Cod during the 2018-19 school year.
