Firefighter I/II Program

Today’s firefighters do far more than fight fires. This comprehensive program trains recruits in the areas of Basic Fire Suppression, SCBA (Self Contained Breathing Apparatus), Search and Rescue, Vehicle Extrication, Ladders, and Hazardous Materials, as well as several other subjects to assist them in their training to become a firefighter. Recruits learn all these skills and more from certified fire instructors who are also experienced firefighters.

Congratulations to the Barnstable County Fire Academy I/II Class of 2017! We thank you for your commitment to protecting the lives and property of the people of Barnstable County.  For more information about the Barnstable County Fire Academy, visit http://www.bcfrta.org
